Religion And Techology

For centuries, the systems of communications throughout the world have been swiftly evolving. In the 1400s, the printing press created the ability for mass publication and circulation of literature, opening the door for the Christian gospel to reach around the world through books, tracts and the Bible itself. During the late 1800s, the telegraph and telephone were invented, further spreading the opportunities for Christian evangelism. In the mid 20th century, radio and television further ...

The Amazing Power of Small Steps

It's the small things in life that can drive you loco on any given day, isn't it? (yes, I see heads nodding!). Like the batteries dying in your garage door opener in the middle of the mother of all rainstorms. Or the birdfeeder that makes a mess on the back patio. Or the leaky bathroom faucet. But it's also the small things in life that seem to make it all worthwhile. A hug from a child, making a new friend, a beautiful sunset, getting something on sale, hearing from a far away loved one. It's ...

"Pure Christianity" Faith Fellowship Church...PO Box 1586...Broken Arrow, OK 74013...Terry Dashner Pure and undefiled... May I ask you a question? What is "pure" Christianity? Is it living a good moral life? Is it sharing your faith with others? Is it attending church every Sunday? Certainly these activities are included, but there is something more specific mentioned in the Bible. It is defined as "pure and undefiled religion." Abandon Religion

Abandon Religion By Punkerslut Why Abandon Religion? It is so commonly believed today that religion is a source of goodness and charity for so many people. It is also believed that to oppose religion is also to oppose the goodness and charity stipulated to be with it. When I ask others to abandon religion, they will reply, "Why would you want to abandon something that has produced so many helpful things?" But I am not asking people to give up the affectionate and tender ways, laced with ...

Hindus and their Satanic Religion

To Hindu Fundamentalists/Extremists - Your religious practices are awful. Religious practices should be peaceful and meditative. And you make maximum noise with utmost arrogance. Comparative Religion 101 - What They Won't Tell You in That

Almost every four year liberal arts college has at least one comparative religions course. These courses are meant to touch the surface of each major religion and illustrate the basic differences or similarities. Are these courses effective, or should we say, are they even honest? If your view of religion is like most people, you think that religion is a list of do's and don'ts or a set of rules, laws or other directives that should be guiding your behavior. What is taught in comparative ...

Superultramodern Religion ( SR )

Superultramodern Religion ( SR ) is a component of Superultramodern Science (SS). In particular, it is an application of SS [mainly the NSTP (Non -Spatial Thinking Process) theory] to religious viewpoints. SR states that the religious viewpoints (say, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc.) are flawed on their physical (or, so called, metaphysical) side. The prophets (say Jesus Christ, Mohammad) could be superhuman, in the sense of being able to modulate the spatial illusion, but their ...

'It is the friendliest kind of cancer,' the doctor said. 'I don't think it will visit him again,' he added with a smile. Basal Cell Carcinoma, a malignant epithelial tumor-a skin cancer, was born on my husband's nose from too much New Mexico sun. Indeed, it is the best kind of cancer to make its home on your body if cancer has to camp on your door steps. But the days we spent waiting for the report led us to the edge of our faith. A Look at Christian Motivational Speakers

For the most part, Christian motivational speakers concentrate on two areas that may overlap. The first is spreading the gospel. This does not mean that they are training for the priesthood. It means that they apply the Bible's teachings to anything and everything going on in the world today and they speak about it at whatever opportunity arises. In the past several years, with the country leaning more and more to the right, popular radio and TV shows have sprung up, and Christian motivational ...

Fear is Faith Inverted

The first thing to come to mind at this moment is this saying: Fear is Faith inverted. I think there's a lot of truth to that. I have a lot of faith and it's carried me through some of the rockiest times of my life. But, I'm human and I feel, cut, bleed and cry like the rest of us. The Myth of the Happy Church-Growth Pastor

Once upon a time there was a young man who felt called to become a Pastor. He went to a Christian college where they taught him many wonderful things...how to love people and teach the Bible and win people to Jesus. But when he entered his first church he realized there was a big difference between what he was taught and the skills needed to run a dynamic congregation. So he read books and attended conferences and sought advice from consultants, and sure enough, his church began to grow. ...

Freedom of Religion

We were all taught in school that our forefathers left England to escape religious dictatorships. Okay, there was a lot more to it then that, but it was a big enough deal that they made sure it got honorable mention in our rulebook. They clearly made the point that we were to have freedom of religion here in America. They also used the word "God" in some of their formal paperwork and even on our money. I don't want to argue politics here, but rather semantics. They didn't say "freedom of ...
